I grew up around this ministry and I've seen how it's grown from 4 students in 1996 to 36 students in 2019. They had 8 staff and currently they have 47. Now I work here, too. We are constantly changing, growing, and seeking the best possible way to restore troubled boys when life-controlling issues plague them. Every day, I wake up excited to encourage the troubled boys in our ministry. I cry for and with them, for their families and the pain that comes when someone in the family has a life-controlling problem, and I daily put my faith in God as he works through our team to reach them. Walking down the halls, I daily witness students being encouraged by the staff members here to live better lives. We constantly look to find the seed of something good and do all we know how to let it grow. During Family Weekends, I see teams of support surrounding these families who have been through some unimaginable circumstances. Our hope is to help facilitate the rebuilding of burnt bridges with sons and their families, giving these kids their best fighting chance. Families placing their troubled sons anywhere are fighting for their son's best chance in seemingly impossible situations. If I had a kid struggling with this stuff, I would want to send him here.

I have worked with Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch as a teacher for 3 1/2 years. This is the best job I've ever had hands down!! I get to wake up every day and serve world changers!! Our leadership and staff are a unified team/ family in christ. We are in constant communication with one another concerning the boys. We have weekly meetings, daily emails, prayer, as well as real time moment by moment communication in order to make the greatest impact on the boys. If you desire to make life controlling issues a thing of the past for your Son we are ready to help you!

Words cannot express my gratitude to Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch. My youngest son started using drugs at the age of 14 and by 15 he was using regularly. About 15 /12 we became aware he was using marijuana after he was arrested on campus for possesion. We tried everything we could that summer to help him resolve his drug use...therapy, psychiatry, support groups...but nothing worked and our son fell farther and farther down the "rabbit hole". A few months after his 16 birthday we hospitalized for suicide threats and it was there that we found out his drug abuse went way beyond pot. We withdrew him from public schoolsoon after and explored our options for potential rehab facilities. During this time we feared he would run away or worse. A dear friend who had been through similar issues with his son recommended Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch . We quickly reached out to our church community to be sure this was a place we could send our son for healing as we feared for his safety and ours. Long story short, we could not have picked a better place to send him. We stepped out on faith and enrolled him within weeks. At the beginning he was having none of it, but the staff at TCAR loved on him and BELIEVED in him. After about four months at the ranch, he started believing in a future and that drugs were not the way to live a Godly fulfilled life. It took a year for him to complete the in-patient program, and he just finished the six-month Aftercare program. His return to the campus for his graduation from the program was one of closure and joy. The staff welcomed him with open arms and he was able to share his story with young men who are currently in the program. It was an amazing celebration of hard work and of hope. A year and a half ago our son was a high school drop-out who planned on running a trap house and if he died in a year or so...well so be it. He had no hope for a future. Today he's a respectful young man who has hopes and dreams . Since returning home he has completed his Eagle Scout rank and earned his drivers license. He is an honor roll student and a member of the football and baseball teams at his school. His plans are to finish his diploma, go to community college to get his basics out of the way and then attend university for his teaching degree. After he earns his degree and teaching cerfiticate he's thinking of heading back to TCAR to serve in Direct Care for a year or two before settling down in a school/district to begin his teaching career. None of this would have been possible without the Christian-based rehab program at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch and the passionate godly staff who work there. I give thanks to the Lord Jesus for the program, the staff and for giving us the faith to send our son there. We are grateful to have our son back with us and that he is on the path to a hopeful future. Thank you Teen Challenge!!!
