Great home made foods free to the public. Shelter to the homeless. Assistance to low income people.

Great place. The best walk in shelter in the Boston area. Lame how they only have like 40 female beds, tho. The blokes gets like 200. 😒 Food was also fairly good for a wet shelter.👌

I only needed to stay for one overnight when I was stranded in the city, so my review is very limited. First off, I was happily surprised by the dinner they served...It was steak tips and fresh garden snap peas both cooked to perfection. (In the morning, there were tall takeout cups of plain yogurt with fresh blueberries and strawberries that came from the cafe section of a nearby downtown crossing supermarket.) The women's sleeping area is upstairs and it was reasonably neat and clean, and I especially liked that all the beds, including the top bunks, had their own reading light fixtures with two electrical outlets permanently installed in the walls beside each of them for charging electronics and plugging in personal fans. The staff members were all polite and professional, and they were pretty good about keeping the noise level down. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because it was an unusually hot, humid July night, and their facility doesn't have any air conditioning. They do have ceiling fans, but the weather was too extreme that night for them to be of much help. Under more normal weather conditions, it would probably be a comfortable place to stay.
