I first arrived at Recovery Works a broken man. I was beaten down and bruised by years of self-abuse at the bottom of a bottle. Anxious, I desired to discover the true nature of my addiction and was eager to redirect my energies. My goal was to regain the confidence that alcohol had stolen from me so long ago. From the moment I walked through the front door, I was greeted with smiling faces, compassionate staff, and was treated with respect. The intake process was effortless and there was professionalism displayed by all those involved. In a moment when I was experiencing an elevated feeling of vulnerability, I never felt for an instant that I was ever viewed as less-than or “just another number”. I was given the regard that one would come to expect from a trusted friend or family member. My 28-day inpatient treatment was an experience that I will always value deeply. I feel indebted to the Resident Assistant staff and counselors for their many informative clinical groups, spirited discussions, one-on-one sessions, and all-around intuitive wisdom. Through my research, I find that the high-quality level of care found at Recovery Works is quite rare in the crowded arena of rehabilitative facilities, and I hope my positive review aides the many suffering and tired individuals looking for hope and peace in their moment of uncertainty. Don’t wait another minute to change your life. Recovery Works has changed mine.

Meh it was fine. Rehab is basically just a safe place to stay and get clean. Everything else is just common sense education (clean your butt after pooping, shower, etc). They really need a wall as escape is way too easy which does provide a lot of laughs.

Really like this app! Keeps me connected to the people I was in rehab with and employees of Recovery Works, who did an AWESOME job with me during recovery. Employees REALLY care and are very knowledgeable about addiction. They've become my extended family! Seeing people I friended at Alumni Meetings is great! I still keep in touch with a lot of people I met at RW Merrillville. Also making friends in other States. If I travel to those States, I can reach out & find meetings to go to. It's reassuring to know that if I need anything, I can always reach out. THANK YOU RECOVERY WORKS MERRILLVILLE! You're a very BIG part of my continuing recovery!
