I am a Substance abuse counselor and I have spoken to Glen. I have recommended several of my clients to My Place In Recovery and have received mixed reviews. I think its a great thing Glen and those guys are doing over there. It is a shortage of centers and facilities that will serve homeless, indigent, drug addicts by given them a place to stay, a job, and some dignity. Most addicts will tell you they've slept in worse places and under much worse conditions when they were in their addictions. Most of those guys will also tell you that they are happy to have a couch to sleep on, especially one with a roof attached to it! As a counselor, I can appreciate anyone trying to do something to help this population. We as counselors and case managers need resources for individuals trying to get their lives back. Stop complaining and finger pointing and do something to help! We are all a part of the problem, so lets all be a part of the solution! "Just for Today"

Great reuse price. Inventory moves fast at those prices. See it buy it or it will be gone when you go back.

I give them a high Mark as they are doing a fabulous service to the community and to those that are in need of recovery. It is not a clean place it is not a place that you would want to go to visit. It is a last resort for Indigent individual. We need more places like this. The owner sometimes is referred to as taking advantage of these people but really when he's providing a indigent Recovery Place he is not asking too much to ask them to work and community service for him or others in the community to pay for their rent. This place needs donations! It also needs donations monetarily. Help if and wherever possible.

In the time that i had the privileged to stay at my place in recovery program, i can say that it was an experience like no other. I had the comfort of staying in my own room i was able to work on my addiction, and the staff members really helped me with my progress, especially case manager Gypsy. I strongly recommend this place for he or she who is looking for a place to live.

This place is not that Bad.Yes it has it's issues, but one thing I do know in Recovery is that you focus on your Recovery, not the Bed Bugs,Roaches etc. When you were doing Drugs and if you like me it didn't matter where you got High. I have been here almost a month. I was living in a Drug infested Motel where the Manager allowed it. I saw myself going down.Since I been here I personally have gotten rid of the Bed Bugs, focusing on staying clean,Buddah feeds you good, they take you to meetings.Nothing is free in this World.I have a job,Gypsy don't sweat me about my fee's,instead she works with me cause I don't make a lot of money. The Staff has never disrespected me and I mind my own business. You have to work for your Recovery.Overall this is not a Bad place,it's what u make it like everything else in life.I wanted to add something, I have been here for a while now and I have no complaints.People are going to be people.I have to remind me,that I am powerless over people, places and certain things.Overall, this is not a bad place.I thank God that I have a roof over my head and something to eat.I am not working full-time yet,but they are working with me on this issue as well.I know that it's just a matter of time before I get back on my feet and a full time job.Thank God for Gypsy and People like her who if they see that you are are trying, they give you the benefit of the doubt, and will work with you!!
