Tree House Recovery for Men’s Philosophy
Tree House Recovery chemical dependency treatment center offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Aftercare to men. Tree House Recovery’s unique approach to chemical dependency treatment focuses on the mind/body connection to build sustainable, healthy lives. Because we believe that simply removing substances is not enough, we equip clients with the skills and knowledge needed to live lasting, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
Treatment as a whole
Weekly treatment schedule is five days a week and includes individualized and group therapies in various daily configurations. Individual therapy addresses the underlying root causes of addiction in a one on one setting. Addiction Education teaches how the physiological and biological effects of addiction impact thinking and behavior. Literary Therapy is a structured series of expressive writing assignments, providing our clients with a platform to identify, process and resolve traumatic events in life. Our Fitness Therapy is designed to normalize brain chemistry to restore healthy homeostasis and reduce drug cravings. Experiential Therapy promotes positive neuroplasticity of the brain to improve emotional regulation in a social dynamic essential for long-term recovery. Process Group is nurturing process that allows our counselors to instill a powerful sense of belonging, community and care for self and others.
Staff Spotlight
THR is lead by Clinical Director, Geoffery Blaylock and Physical Empowerment Director, Neal Trusso, who is a former US Navy Seal. Geoffery and Neil work in tandem leading our treatment teams to address the mental, physical and social facets of addiction affecting men to ensure every client receives an optimal recovery. Tree House is built to treat 36 clients with three individually staffed therapy teams providing care for 12 clients at a maximum. Because we treat men in groups of no more than 12, we provide a client to staff ratio that is 2 to 1 which allows for the highest level of care and individualized treatment.
Treatment Center Highlights
Recovery in Action consists of monthly events are held at Tree House Recovery that allow our clients to put both their mental and physical training into practice. Be it a Triathlon on Catalina Island, a camping trip at the beach, or a Spartan Race, these events are rich opportunity for clients to master the concepts and principles that they are exposed to on a daily basis. In addition, these events introduce our clients to a wide range of fun sober activities that they can enjoy long after treatment. Embodied Presence is a mindfulness based yoga practice designed to allow addicts to become more present in life and attune with their body through meditation and breath work.
