Morning to all at Union Rescue. I'm not a part of any program that you have but I'd like to thank the Rescue for letting me relax every now and then since 2014. Send my regards to the men and women who reside outside your facility for their support , conversation , advice , laughs , and love in some cases.

I'm not going to lie to you this place is in a very bad part of Skid Row it is unsanitary outside....there is tents outside the front outside the back surrounding the whole building pretty much but I will say that if it was not for this place I would starve to death some days. The volunteers that work there and feed people are amazing the food is delicious Starbucks donates salad sandwiches and sometimes drinks. Also a bakery down the street donates croissants and desserts every day of the week. And I'm happy to report that they have upped their security and have gotten metal detectors so I feel a lot better going to eat here now on days when I have no money and no food. Thanks for feeding the women of Skid Row that are HOMELESS and non homeless women....like me! Much love!

This rehabilitation crisis family center is by far the most helpful shelter I could ever advise anyone who is in need of immediate help to go to. Their programs that they have set up for adults and the youth is amazing, they focus on the children more than any shelter I have ever seen. God bless the staff their who work to help not work for a check!

There are things I like and things I don't like about this shelter. I like how you can hang out throughout the day and don't have to leave. They shower, feed and provide a mattress to sleep on. But i don't like how they wake you up at 5 a.m in the morning so people can sit in a chair to watch t.v. But if you are going to wake people up at 5am have the t.v turned off at lights out by 8:30 pm at the latest. The t.v goes off at 10pm and lights out like midnight. It is hard to get more then 6 or 7 hours asleep. It can get frustrating sometimes. The volunteers seem to speak too aggressively to the residents. It isn't ideal but if you are in need it is acceptable.
