I graduated New Roads residential and transitional program. It was an amazing experience that changed my life for the better. The staff did everything they could to give me whatever I needed. My therapist was incredible and taught me the skills and ability to have a life worth living.

Our daughter spent two months at New Roads and counts it as the best decision of her life. The experience & education & support & knowledge she gained there saved her life. She was battling bipolar disorder and self medicating daily—thinking that life was unfair. She made every effort to attend all the classes, workshops, yoga and journaled a great deal. On our weekly visits, she would teach us what she was learning about her diagnosis, about behavior & accountability, and she was helping others there with her renewed, healthy brain and positive outlook. She enjoyed the “field trips” or outings: to movies, the planetarium, escape rooms, etc, and going to workout at the local gym. She loved the staff and was supported in individual therapy; they did a genetic test to find out what medications she would respond best to and she is still taking those to manage her bipolar symptoms. She came home from New Roads a new person, attended AA, CA & NA meetings and applied for college. She had an incredibly successful semester and is pursuing a degree in psychology to help others who battle as she has. She continues to meet with the therapist & psychiatrist that she started with at New Roads. As parents, we are quite literally forever grateful to the counselor that referred us to New Roads and to the program and people who were there with her helping and supporting her.

Going to New Roads was the most brilliant decision I have ever made! The facility is well-kept, the community is so sweet and inviting, the staff is superb and the programming is so helpful. I went to the New Roads residential program as a very dysregulated individual and came out of treatment healthy and excited for my life worth living! Thank you to everyone here that made my experience so eye-opening and insightful. I look forward to being able to utilize my skills and explore my entire life with an open mind!!
