Veteran health care has been greatly expanded with this new facility. Many of the health care departments that once was only available miles away at VA hospitals such as Durham, or out of state like Hampton Virginia, are now weekday clinics in the Greater Greenville area. And thanks to the new programs recently adopted, Urgent Care and Emergency services can be handled a few blocks away at Vidant Hospital at no cost to the veteran with the use of the Veterans ID card. This also applies for a variety of local medical specialies outsourced, by consorts. Now that the expanded Greenville VA has unified with community medical services, travel time has been traded for treatment time.

I was visiting Washington County, NC from from Southeastern, PA. When , I unexpectedly encountered issues with one of my eyes. So I called, and made an appointment, to see a physician. @ the VAMC hospital and or clinic near, my Washington County, NC abode. And to my surprise, and satisfaction I was given an appointment, on the following day. To The VAMC Greenville, NC facility, which is a part. Of the greater VAMC Raleigh, NC facility. Well, I have nothing, but praise... For how friendly, courteous, efficient, and professional. The admission staff, the nurses, and the caregiver aka physician were to me. Not to mention, that the clinic itself, was brand new; and was built. During, the years of the Obama administration. My thanks, to the VAMC Durham-Greenville, NC administration, admissions, nurses, and physician staff. Who made this out of state visiting veteran; feel @ home, took care of my health issue, and made my visit to your care facility, an outstanding experience, period! Thank you.

I’m 7 months into this new State of NC, and this is the newest CBOC I’ve been involved with. To me it’s a great center, a friendly and inviting group of Doctors and Veterans. Yes, once in a blue moon someone brings a attitude of discuss to work. That plus the 1 hour and 15 minutes to drive there is why I give this a 4 star.
