Donald J. Mitchell Medical Outpatient Clinic located in Rome New York was designed in the late 1970's by New York City based architect George Ranalli. Its great to see how well the building has held up through its years of service to the United States Air Force and Veterans Administration. The architecture is an early example of a professional commitment to excellence on behalf of community uses.

I am a former ET2, CTM2, US Navy intelligence, Gulf Wartime Service medal recipient, Good Conduct medal recipient and Sharp Shooter. I am proud to pronounce that and I am prouder yet of the professionals st this VA facility. They do not have to take walk-ins. It is not an urgent care facility and technically, if you can believe it, I am suppose to go to SYRACUSE for urgent care! Absurd for sure. But Dr. Pitel, my primary at the facility and her team, knew that I do not visit them often enough and if I was there, something was wrong! They took me in, got my xrays, blood work & other labwork, EKG, and more within two hours AND on their lunch. I could not have been more pleased with my VA healthcare on this day! This was a great day for me and a testament to our countries commitment to the veterans.

Many thanks to the lady that helped get my Fathers Veterans Stone. I’m sorry I can’t remember you’re name. Very positive experience every time we come to the Rome VA Clinic.
