After a series of bad experiences at Central Park Early Learning Center (CPELC), we decided to transfer our daughter to Northside Center—we are SO glad we did. Our daughter made big strides within the first two weeks. She continued to make real-life changes and advancements right up until her graduation and throughout summer school. The staff has been caring, supportive and communicative. We never had a day when we didn't know how our child was doing in school. This was a complete 180 from our experience at CPELC—where it felt like information about our child's progress and behavior had to be coerced out quarterly. At Northside, we had monthly reviews and updates. Communication with the staff was easy and uncomplicated. They actively helped us to monitor our daughter’s behavior and together we changed, adjusted, and implemented strategies both at home and at school. Would especially like to recognize and thank Karla Torres, and Treneta Collingwood, my daughter's teacher, and her teaching staff Jazmin Yrizarry and Natasha Keys. They were what every parent wants from a school—a supportive, patient, communicative and helpful and, of course, educational team that was dedicated to working with us and our child. We are hopeful that we will have the same supportive relationships at our daughter’s kindergarten next year.
