Recently my daughter was evaluated and admitted to the inpatient ED unit in Naperville. Though the process was extremely long (over 4 hours), we were treated very professionally. My daughter was taken seriously, treated respectfully and take well care of during the process in St Charles. We were surprised to learn she had to be transported via ambulance, despite not being in any eminent danger, but that is their protocol. I cannot say enough about the warmth with which we were all treated and taken care of. From the admittance process, to talking with the nursing staff, there was nothing but kindness, patience, empathy and professionalism. Right away, my husband and I got a sense she was in great care and good hands. The unit was clean, as inviting as it could be for a hospital mental health unit, and the people (including other patients) were extremely accepting and welcoming to our daughter, which put her nerves at ease. While in their care for 6 days, she was treated very well and her dignity was never "stripped" as others have said. She always felt safe and taken care of, the therapists and nurses knew what they were doing and in doing so, she was able to get to a stable place to be discharged and moved down to a PHP level of care. We are grateful to Patty, Alyssa, Katie and the many others who took care of her and helped her to navigate a scary and tumultuous time in her life. If your loved one is feeling ill -equipped with weight management and needs support, do not hesitate to bring them here.

I would recommend to everyone, the BHAS are so kind and incredibly encouraging. Every psychologist and psychiatrist I met there was very helpful. The nurses are amazing and patient, and always willing to help. (A lot of these reviews are quite negative) But I believe what you get out of it, is what you put in to it. So if your the patient that’s constantly not seeking to better them selves I.E. not going to group therapy, not taking medicine as prescribed, sleeping all day and being non compliant. You have to work hard every day to continue your mental health. It’s up to you !! And this facility gives you all the tools to start and improve your mental health.

The food was amazing! I would just die to go there again. Only complaint was the staff. They kept on bothering me during my stay and telling me things like, “put down the knife.” Honestly, rude.
