I recently have a relapse in my bipolar after 15 years of being in remission. I am new to the area and was unfamiliar with Coastal Harbor. I knew I needed help. From the minute I stepped through the doors until I went home five days later I was taking care of by their thoughtful staff. No matter what my need was they were there to help me. They never got annoyed with me or lost their cool and they always keep a sense of humor. We had very good meals. Group sessions were always very good. We had time to go outside for fresh air. Even the beds were comfortable. My doctors were incredible. I don’t understand why there are such bad reviews for this place. I have been in other facilities and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. I’m now on the road to recovery and I can thank Coastal Harbor for getting me there.

The staff and facility are wonderful. The food is good as well. I highly recommend this place when needing help with mental health.

My family member was taken here from hospital. At first it was very difficult to obtain information and it was scary to have family member be isolated. The patient must provide their ID# and grant staff members permission to speak with you. Also it is very cold inside for patients- please bring your loved ones sweat suits. Blankets are not allowed as safety precaution. There are visiting hours every day. Monday through Friday is 630 pm to 730 pm. Saturdays and Sundays is 130 pm to 330 pm. Patients also have access to the ☎ and call long distance. However my family member had a positive experience. The nurses, doctor, therapist and staff listened and provided the necessary assistance. My family member is now an outpatient and doing well.
