The workers here are amazing and work with everyone. 9am is when it opens. Not sure about the closing time , but so far they gave me a good visit no complaints or anything. Good atmosphere.

An excellent community resource. I believe this model for delivery of services to the homeless/low income population is viable sustainable and valuable.

El Hogar has been a pillar for most individuals who need asdistsnce, especially those of us with mental health issues. They are so happy to help, guide, assist, listen, talk, whatever. They have helped me in so many ways, and I must say that if you are one of those people who have issues like mental health, homelessness, substance abuse, etc EL HOGAR is the place for you.

Its been a while since i was a client at el hogar. My experience was so beneficial to my life .the staff are defenantly. Perfect for that program. As it takes a certain strength to work with mental health patients .for me i was struggling with. Major Deperession i think my counselor's. Name was Steven and Isis was my intake counselor and they were there for me and nurtured me back to health because i couldnt focus on living .i wanted to die. Check out. Escape life .and i was so angry i couldnt see straight but i sat. Through anger management at El Hogar when it was on 10th and G Street. Downtown sacramento the first time but didnt pay much attention at the end of the corse , i had to humble myself ,and fess up i didnt do any of the writting on the packet. I was given so i talk the counselor in to letting me Participate in the next corse before i knew it the anger management class came to an end i needed more so i talked my way into another. Session and the third. Session i heard steven say i dont think we ever had anyone complete three anger management classes. I dont remember what i said to convince them i needed a third anger managment class but i was on time and present. And completely Focused. I think its safe for me to share a dark moment of my past i attempted suicide when i was 22 years old a gun shot wound that missed my heart one inch. The bullet is still in my side. I lived. So i was a mess when i showed up at El Hogar's door step i would have never realized the amount of anger i kept inside i really couldnt see myself living much longer. ....today im 58 years old. And i. Am No longer my worst enemy . El Hogar. Mental health. Staff are up standing .professional in working with others.great job skills..and truly know how to make an individual feel like a Human Being I will forever be Greatful for the services this establishment has to offer..THANK YOU! From the inner most fiber of my being . Carmen Thomas was my last name back then its Carmen Rose now.and i live a pretty peaceful life today in Happiness.......
